Understand what the flake contributes

Review blend, coverage and texture separately

Do not choose texture from a close-up photograph alone. Tell the estimator whether people may walk in with wet footwear, whether furniture moves frequently and how you intend to clean the floor. Ask how the proposed finish addresses those conditions.
Confirm the details around the floor
List steps, drains, door openings and changes in flooring. Ask which surfaces are included and whether vertical edges, thresholds or other details are priced separately. If an old coating is failing, discuss its removal before settling the decorative specification.

Keep a usable record of the selected system
Ask for the color blend and coating products to be identified in the agreed scope. Keep the sample decision with the care instructions. If a future repair or additional room becomes necessary, that record gives the next conversation a clear starting point.
Avoid treating a generic claim such as easy maintenance as a cleaning plan. Request instructions for routine cleaning, spills and products that should not be used on the selected finish.
